Pre-sessional English Course

The course will be run in 2012 for 8 weeks
from 16th July to 07 September 2012.

This course is designed for all students who plan to study a degree course in Britain.

To provide you with intensive support before you start your academic year and to develop your English language skills for studies and life in the United Kingdom
To expand vocabulary and expression, essay writing, sentence structure and presentation skills
To teach academic skills such as research skills and lecture note taking

Having a good understanding of academic text, features of academic writing and structures for report writing
Understanding how to use appropriate sources of information and crediting sources of information accurately
Ability to develop reading strategies and extend vocabulary
Ability to participate with confidence in spoken contexts and fast speech
Being confident to work independently (planning, organising, developing, revising)
Having a good understanding of British culture and way of life
