



Description:
The Interactive Media Programme aims to prepare you for the communications media of the 21st century and will develop your skills in creative design for handheld technology. You will explore areas of design in relation to audiovisual technology and computing for the purpose of communication. You will gain knowledge and skills in using the traditional design/drawing methods and visualising skills to generate and develop ideas. You will be involved in exploring different software applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Flash and 3D Studio Max to apply to a variety of appropriate designs involving the latest tools to create apps for handheld device technologies. The course also gives the opportunity to study English in an English speaking environment with focus on media development and practice your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
Other programmes are also available: Photography, Fashion, Film and Screen Printing. It is also possible to organize BESPOKE programmes in Drawing, Ceramics, Crafts etc.
Using web based applications in conjunction with Adobe Flash, students will be building applications for computer tablet technology such as Android, iPhone and iPad platforms. Programmes which will be used: Adobe Photoshop, Flash Interface Induction. PC/MACs.
Certificates and outcomes: Students will be provided with certificate of attendance to the language courses, certificate of attendance to the Media course. They will produce, at the end of the course, a complete product such as a promotional DVD, a t-shirt print or a garment.
Age group: 12 - 17
Skills required: a basic knowledge of media will be necessary for the completion of the course – Minimum Level of English required is B1/A2
Course Dates: 04 July 2012 – 26 August 2012.
Duration: 1 or 2 weeks
Minimum number of students per group: 10.
Maximum group size: 20 (15 if the programme is planned for the areas of Fashion, Screen Printing, Film and Photography).
Media and Graphics – Max 20 students – from the 4/7/2012 to the 29/7/2012 and from the 8/8/2012 to the 26/8/2012.
Photography – Max 15 students – from the 4/7/2012 to the 29/7/2012
Fashion – Max 15 students – from the 4/7/2012 to the 29/7/2012
Film and Television – Max 15 students – from the 4/7/2012 to the 29/8/2012
Screen Printing – Max 15 students – from the 25/7/2012 to the 29/7/2012
