Located mainly on Portsea Island, Portsmouth is the United Kingdom's only island city, As a result, the Portsmouth ferry port is one of the busiest in the UK, carrying approximately 2.2 million people per year. It is a home to the Royal Navy, the University of Portsmouth and to Portsmouth Football Club, founded in 1898. Among the other leading attractions of the Portsmouth Harbour are the National Museum of the Royal Navy, Action Stations and Harbour Tours. The dockyard is home to many world famous historic ships such as HMS Victory (the Royal Navy's most famous warship) and HMS Warrior (the world’s first iron-hulled, armoured warship).
